Racon Engineering has been selected as one of three prequalified engineers in both the mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines for York University engineering projects for the period of July 2011 to July 2012.

Racon Engineering has been awarded the lighting Upgrade project at A. Grenville and William Davis courthouse located at 7755 Hurontario Street in Brampton. The courthouse was constructed in April 2000 in order to consolidate Superior and Ontario Courts of Justice from five different locations. The building is 6 stories in height and encompasses 376,300 square feet occupied by Ministry of Attorney General, Ministry of Community & Social Services, Ministry of Correctional Services, Peel Regional Police – Court Services, various Social Service Agencies and the Peel Law Association. The building contains 40 courtrooms which are utilized by approximately 400 staff and 2000 visitors on a daily basis.

We are pleased to announce a new addition to our Engineering team and welcome Mr. Jurgen Behn, Senior Project Manager. Jurgen has more than 38 years experience as a designer in both the mechanical and electrical disciplines and also provides field services for all of the projects that he designs and coordinates. Jurgen is conversant with mechanical and electrical Codes and Standards and provides a hands-on approach to overseeing the installation work. Jurgen’s project management experience includes a diverse range of building categories including institutional, swimming pools / recreational facilities, commercial, emergency services, heritage conservation, libraries, data centres, seniors care, municipal, governmental airport, transit, law enforcement and industrial.
