Racon Engineering Inc. - Address
In this Conceptual Planning Phase the customer establishes objectives for the facility and other key criteria such as the implementation schedule, budgets and preferred suppliers. The Decision Phase will create a clear picture of the desired facility and an estimate of the cost to build it. Racon Engineering Inc. offers the following services/alternatives as part of this Conceptual Planning Phase.

In the Conceptual Design Report document, Racon Engineering Inc. will analyse computer environment needs from the perspectives of:

  • Operations
  • Work Flow
  • Equipment Configuration
  • Building Services
  • Available Space
  • Business Goals
  • Future Expansion Plans

The Conceptual Design Report document is intended as a senior level planning tool for mid-sized and large projects requiring evaluation and approval.

The Conceptual Layout is based on the objectives and design premises confirmed in the Report. We provide the engineering analysis and budget estimates needed to decide what to build, when, and why. The Conceptual Layout is a detailed equipment layout drawing for owner approval. Factors addressed in the Conceptual Layout include:

  • Hardware Configuration
  • Data Centre Electrical System
  • Site Evaluation/Drawing Review
  • Security
  • Building Mechanical System
  • Fire Detection and Protection
  • Data Centre Mechanical System
  • Site Monitoring
  • Plumbing and Drainage
  • Communications
  • Building Electrical System
  • Future Planning
  • Architectural Detail

The above criterion is used for drawings and sizing air conditioners, UPS, generators, TVSS and all other equipment recommended for installation in your computer room.

Alternative for smaller Computer Rooms

The Inter-Active Planning package is tailored to smaller facilities and tight implementation schedules. The IAP provides a concise summary of the customer's facility objectives and requirements, a conceptual plan (scope of work) to build a facility that meets those requirements, and budget costs to build it. Simple layout drawings and confirmation of the gross requirements for space, power, and cooling are included as well. This is an interactive approach incorporates the criterion established above for fast-track projects.
