• Review drawings and all documentation pertaining to the mechanical systems that support the data centre. The purpose of the review is to gain an understanding of the systems and their functions. It will reveal single points of failures and enable us to highlight weak points in the design and implementation.
• Participate in staff interviews for data gathering
• Review building systems as required that may have a direct or indirect impact on the reliability of the data center.
• Review electrical, mechanical and architectural systems for all auxiliary rooms that support the data center i.e. Battery Room, Electrical Distribution Rooms etc.
• Conduct a physical audit of all mechanical and electrical systems for the data center.
• The following systems will be reviewed:
1. Chilled water air conditioners
2. Sprinkler Systems
3. Fire Suppression System
4. Raised Floor System
5. Architectural Systems including doors, partitions, etc.
6. Water Detection Systems
7. Flood risks from all sources
8. Chiller and chilled water distribution
9. Cooling Tower, heat plate exchangers for free cooling
10. Pneumatic controls, redundancy and control sequence

• We will measure carbon dioxide levels over a period of time to gage the effectiveness of the ventilation system.
• We will chart temperature readings across the data center to determine the effectiveness of the air distribution.
• We will produce layouts on CADD that will be used for the purposes of describing results and findings.
• Take electrical load readings where possible to gage utilization.
• Analyze audit information.
• Produce draft audit report.
• Prepare budgets for recommendations.
• Review feedback and make revisions to report.
• Submit finished report.

Customer Responsibilities

• Provide as built drawings of all base building mechanical systems including, HVAC, plumbing, cooling tower, pneumatic controls and compressors, chillers, fan coil units, schematics, pumps, exhaust fans, duct layouts, exhaust system and controls for battery rooms and electrical distribution rooms; water detection system; sprinkler systems; clean agent extinguishment system; heat exchanger and controls etc.
• Provide shop drawings for all associated equipment.
• Provide information on set point for all equipment if available. This will include set points for free cooling, chillers, central air handling equipment etc. If not available in documented format; we can discuss this at interview stage.
• Schedule maintenance personnel, internal or third party for running any machinery as required.
